How to Make Your Christmas Banquet Even Better?

We all want to have a memorable December holiday celebration, and what can make it better than celebrating with a great banquet?  With the holidays approaching faster than you can finish your shopping, knowing some tips and tricks can definitely help you prepare a faster and better Christmas banquet. Of course, food plays a central role in every banquet but that does not mean that you will leave out the decorations, the ambiance, and even the activities. There are quite a lot of ways to make your Christmas party stand out. Here are a couple of tips to make sure that your Christmas party & banquet be memorable, fun and still in line with the spirit of the holidays.

Decorate the venue and making it livelier than ever before.

Take out the hidden Christmas lights and bring the festivities to your own home. Whether it be a Christmas tree that catches the attention of everyone or hanging socks for Santa to slip in some gifts, lively with holiday cheer. You can definitely deck the halls with boughs of holly and even put a mistletoe under the door.

Create the design with a theme in mind. For instance, you can use winter as a general idea, or if your kids love watching movies, then add a Disney feel to it by perhaps adding some Disney characters or other special decorations. If you are preparing a celebration which is more of a family gathering, then perhaps creating a wall of photos and other memorabilia will certainly add character to your home.

In the dining table, you can make an attention-grabbing wine area. Southern Comfort has a great mixture called Purple Jesus. All you need to do is to mix 1/2 oz. Southern Comfort liqueur, 1/2 oz. blackberry brandy, and 5 drops of peppermint schnapps. Your guests will love it! To top it all off, the mixture itself is consistent with the theme.

Fill up their bellies and their hearts.

They say that the way to a man’s heart is through the man’s stomach, and I would say that is true. In fact, you can say the same thing for women. That is why preparing great meals should be a top priority.  Do not forget to prepare your roast turkey and the sumptuous pork or beef then. Mashed potatoes and gravy would be a wonderful addition and some fried vegetables or solid wood work really well if you put them together with the meat. To further enhance the food pairing, it is best if you got some fruity liqueur on the table. Who would ever forget the nutmeg and other wonderful dishes?

You can even make another wonderful mixture from Southern Comfort. You can do this by mixing 1 box of cherries with one ounce of the Southern Comfort Bold black cherry. You can then add one and a half oz of black cherry soda and run a single splash of lime juice. This will be a great beverage to pair with your meat dishes.

After filling up their bellies with wonderful dishes, you can then proceed to giving them a great time with stories and conversations. This should be easier because the alcohol may make their tongues looser. To start conversations, you can add conversation starting pieces.  Perhaps a picture frame subtly hanging near the table, maybe an exotic item from one of your vacations outside the country, anything that is effective in grabbing attention should be placed in a conspicuous space but try to make it part of the theme.

For those who want to be more adventurous in their Christmas banquet, then you should really try out the cherry blow pop. This mixture requires 1/3 oz. Southern Comfort liqueur to be added to 1/3 oz. amaretto almond liqueur. After that, you apply 1/3 oz. grenadine syrup. This will be perfect for those who want a tartier flavor. This also pairs well with sweet delicacies and snacks.  You can be assured that your guests will love how you feel the taste of the different food and beverages together. It will be a celebration of the holidays and a wonderful sensational explosion of flavor in the mouth.

Once all is said and done, having a great banquet simply boils down to two things – great meals and great conversations.  Whether it be just a small group or a large family reunion, a lot of thought and preparation is important. That is why it is best if you work on the banquet with another. Not only will this help you lessen your burden, this will make the event much more memorable for you and the people who helped. By doing the two things listed above, you can be sure that your Christmas parties are something to remember for good reason.
