Did you have a tiring day in the office? Or perhaps you have a very important meeting tomorrow and you cannot calm your nerves? Or maybe are you just in the mood to lie down and relax? Whatever the reason would be, finding ways to relax should come easy and if it is starting to get more and more difficult then it is recommended that you seek professional advice. But before you do, try the following techniques so that you can finally unwind.
1. The water is your friend; a cold refreshing shower can do you a lot of good.
This is a great ritual to tell your body that you have transitioned from a place of activity to a place of rest. A long bath of around 20 minutes should be good for both your body and your psyche. The cold water will be able to massage gently and wash away not only the dirt and grime but also the pressures and stress.

That way you are telling your body to adjust to a lower frequency and that will make it more relaxed.
2. On the other end of the spectrum, you can just sweat it out.
For some people, they feel more relaxed when they are bone tired. However please do know that there is usually a 30 minute to 1-hour adrenaline high after a workout, so it is advisable that you work out at least 2 to 3 hours before you go to sleep so that you will not have any kind of problem catching some zzz’s. For those who want to concentrate on flexibility and at the same time relaxation, yoga or tai chi would be the best workout for you. Throwing some jabs at your punching bag would be a great way to not only reduce stress but also improve muscle strength.
A 30-minute run on a treadmill would also give you a good hard work out and make your legs a bit more tired. This would be good especially for those who work in an office that makes their lives more sedentary. If you want to lay down with a smile on your face, you should try a dance workout like Zumba which will energize you with a brick music and at the same time improve your stamina.
3. Clear up your mind with something that is sweetness and happiness incarnate.
Another great way to unwind after a long day is to take a shot of a great, relaxing, and soothing cocktail. This is best done around 2 hours after your dinner or a meal so that it will not affect your digestion. One cocktail mix that is highly recommended to take so that you may get a renewed zest for life and at the same time calm you down is the aptly named Cozy at the Orchard. One great thing about this is that the ingredients are actually easy to get and you just have to purposely blend them together.
You will need 4 ounces of Angry Orchard Crisp Apple, 4 ounces of butter, 750 ml of Bourbon, a cup of sugar and a cup of water. Also, prepare 5 cinnamon sticks. Lastly, also get a quarter of lemon juice.
First, we are going to make is the brown butter washed bourbon. Hit the 4 oz of butter until they are of a brown color. At the same time, pour the bourbon into a quart sized container and then add the browned butter to the whiskey. You can freeze it overnight or wait for the batter to harden and separate. Strain the mixture and get the butter washed bourbon.
Now we make the cinnamon syrup. Mix the sugar and water with the 5 cinnamon sticks and boil them. Let it simmer for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, take the syrup.
Finally, we must add all of the ingredients which are the brown butter washed bourbon and the cinnamon syrup together with the Angry Orchard Crisp Apple. Heat all of the ingredients but do not let it boil. Once it is warm, you can garnish it with some nutmeg and drink it.
